This a terrific solution for taking in up to 16 HD HDMI signals from any source and modulate them into any agile analog channels. Simple and easy way to distribute high definition signals to legacy TV distribution systems. Comes equipped with a pre-programmed channel list and its ability to setup any of those channels anywhere in the spectrum, operators can set up the modulator quickly and efficiently.

This is particularly a unique modulator because most Analog Modulators on the market require CVBS input, in most cases the HDMI sources would need to be converted externally to CVBS.
Our device is doing it for you so you could use any SD/HD HDMI source, which then converts it internally to baseband video then modulates it to the Analog channels of your choosing.
This modulator is HDCP compliant and works with any HDMI sources and also comes with a network port for NMS, ethernet connection allows for remote access and management system.

I am looking at a particular box that you sell, model H-16HDMI-RF-AMOD. I'm hoping to find someone who can tell me if that box is what I'm looking for, or if perhaps I should be looking at someone else. I'd like to use as much infrastructure as is currently in place for a non-profit. We have coax run to seven DirecTV boxes, which are attached to seven different TVs. I'd like to eliminate a few of those boxes, hook the rest up to HDMI (and preferably HD quality), and then distribute that out to the TVs using those different sources. Since there are so many TVs and there are plans to add more, in the future, I'm also curious to see if there is anything out there that has the ability to automate the on/off process for many different brand TVs so that the only remotes we would need to keep are DirecTV remotes, which we can control by running an IR repeater from the back room where the equipment resides out to a common area where changing them is easy

That device will work for your application, however this is an analog
modulator, the otu0put quality picture will not be HD, even though the
inputs can be HDMI.
If you're looking for something that can take in HDMI, but also output
HD quality in 1080 you should be looking at device like this

Whats the output resolution? Its not HD, will this work on 16:9 format TV?

Answer:

This is a 16-channel analog NTSC, not digital HD QAM, modulator.
The answer is yes if the TV supports an analog NTSC modulated signal;
they usually do 99% of the time.
It will display a 4:3 image on a 16:9 screen, so the sides of the
screen will be black.

Combining multiple modulators is simple; you just need to select different channels on each one and use a simple 2x1 passive combiner.

Question:

I was looking for the possibility of a device that could tune an RF (QAM) signal and assign a frequency to an HDMI output. One RF in, and some kind of interface that would allow me to assign signals/channels to multiple HMDI out ports. Basically it would be the reverse version of your H-16HDMI-RF-AMOD device. I cant seem to find any device on the market that could do that. Any insight is appreciated.

Answer:

I understand what you are saying, but that is actually impossible since HDMI is just an AV cable; HDMI has nothing to do with RF.

The only way you can do what you are saying is to use multiple RF decoder boxes with HDMI output. So you set the frequency or channel on the decoder and then have an HDMI output, that's how a set top box works.

That 16 Channel HDMI to RF is an analog modulator in NTSC. Newer, HD modern signals are either Cable QAM or Antenna ATSC.
