Here’s a case study of just one of the many applications: a sports event with a field camera sending live content to a transmission truck over a single fiber via Thpr ViperConnect

The camera is connected to the SDI input on the Thor transmitter F-M1SDI-3G-ET-TX, and the receiver instantly delivers the content to the transmissin trock. The F-M1SDI-3G-ET-RX receiver is also connected to an Ethernet switch, while the transmitter by the camera is linked to a small 5-port switch or WiFi extender.

This setup allows the camera operator to perform various tasks via IP—receiving commands through Audio over IP, watching the transmission with IPTV, accessing data, the internet, or local LAN. It can even control any IP-enabled device. The possibilities are endless!
