Using a single pair of copper wires, telephone cable, twisted pair, or coaxial cable, the system extends 10/100 Ethernet connectivity and PoE to remote devices over distances up to 500 meters (1,640 ft). This makes it an ideal solution for upgrading legacy installations while dramatically reducing installation costs.
The H-IP-TP-TX/RX operates transparently, requiring no software configuration or network programming. Simply connect the transmitter and receiver, and the units automatically establish a reliable Ethernet extension while simultaneously delivering network data and remote power to compatible PoE devices.
Typical applications include security surveillance, industrial automation, transportation systems, access control, building automation, and any installation where existing copper wiring can be reused instead of installing new Ethernet cable.
The system consists of a Transmitter (Master) and Receiver (Slave) that communicate over a single pair of copper conductors.
A PoE switch or power supply connects to the local transmitter through a standard RJ45 Ethernet connection. Ethernet data and power are then combined and transported over the existing two-wire cable to the remote receiver. The receiver restores a standard RJ45 Ethernet interface while simultaneously providing PoE power for cameras, wireless access points, IP phones, or other PoE-powered devices.
No IP configuration, software installation, or driver setup is required.
