The Thor Broadcast H-STB-DVBT-DVBS is a professional dual-standard DVB-S/S2 satellite and DVB-T/T2 terrestrial digital TV receiver designed to decode free-to-air digital RF television signals and convert them to HDMI, component video, composite video, and digital audio outputs.

This compact set-top box combines a DVB-S/S2 satellite tuner and DVB-T/T2 terrestrial tuner into one receiver, making it an ideal solution for hospitality, MATV/SMATV, broadcast monitoring, educational facilities, commercial AV systems, apartment buildings, and digital TV reception applications.

The H-STB-DVBT-DVBS supports MPEG-2 and H.264/MPEG-4 AVC video decoding with resolutions up to Full HD 1080p. Video can be delivered through HDMI, YPbPr component video, or CVBS composite video, while audio is available through analog stereo RCA and coaxial SPDIF digital audio outputs.

A front-panel USB 2.0 interface supports PVR recording, Time Shift, multimedia playback, and software upgrades. The receiver also supports a 7-day Electronic Program Guide (EPG), Teletext, DVB subtitles, multiple favorite channel groups, parental control, automatic and manual channel search, and storage of up to 4,000 TV and radio services.

For satellite installations, the integrated DVB-S/S2 tuner supports C-band and Ku-band reception, SCPC and MCPC signals, QPSK and 8PSK modulation, and DiSEqC 1.0 / 1.1 / 1.2 / USALS motor control. The receiver supplies standard 13V/18V LNB power and 22 kHz tone control directly through the satellite RF input.

For terrestrial reception, the DVB-T/T2 tuner covers approximately 174 to 860 MHz and supports COFDM with 16QAM, 64QAM, and 256QAM modulation.

Important: The H-STB-DVBT-DVBS is intended for compatible free-to-air / unencrypted DVB-S/S2 and DVB-T/T2 television services. It does not provide conditional-access decryption for encrypted subscription television services unless separately supported by the broadcast system.

DVB-S/S2 Satellite Receiver

The satellite tuner accepts DVB-S and DVB-S2 RF signals from approximately 950 to 2150 MHz. It supports QPSK and 8PSK modulation with symbol rates from approximately 1 to 55 MSPS.

The receiver provides 13V/18V LNB polarization control, 22 kHz tone control, and DiSEqC support for fixed or motorized satellite systems. Both SCPC and MCPC satellite signals from C-band and Ku-band systems are supported.

DVB-T/T2 Terrestrial Receiver

The integrated DVB-T/T2 terrestrial tuner supports digital terrestrial RF signals from approximately 174 to 860 MHz. Supported modulation modes include COFDM, 16QAM, 64QAM, and 256QAM.

The H-STB-DVBT-DVBS can therefore be used as an external digital TV tuner for monitors, televisions, projectors, and AV systems that require an HDMI, component, or composite video connection.

USB PVR Recording and Multimedia Playback

The front USB 2.0 port supports external USB flash drives and compatible storage devices for recording digital television programming. The PVR function allows recording of a selected service and supports Time Shift functionality.

The receiver also functions as a USB multimedia player with support for common video, audio, image, and subtitle file formats including TS, MPG, MKV, AVI, ASF, FLV, MP4, WMA, WMV, VOB, MOV, DAT, SRT, SUB, BMP, JPG, JPEG, GIF, PNG, TIF, MP3, and M4A.

Electronic Program Guide and Channel Management

The H-STB-DVBT-DVBS supports a full 7-day Electronic Program Guide (EPG), allowing users to review current and upcoming programming where EPG information is transmitted by the broadcaster.

Up to 4,000 television and radio services can be stored. Channel management features include favorites, moving, locking, renaming, deleting, and sorting. Eight separate favorite groups are supported.
