Both protocols are usually transmitted using RS485 over a pair of wires. You can have the same pair of wires running to multiple cameras, with each camera having a different address. The maximum length for RS485 is about 1200 m, which makes it ideal for running between the cameras. There are various pieces of equipment you can use to combine the RS485 and the video signal into a single coaxial cable at one end and then split it back into 2 at the other, but that is separate from the protocol.

Once you have completed this process, you can open your web browser and type in 192.168.1.162 (if you want to preview what the camera is seeing, then you must use Internet Explorer and install the ActiveX file right under the login window that is in blue "File"). 4. Log in with Username: admin Password: admin. 5. Under PTZ on the Preview screen, there is a sliding - + scale under the arrows, and drag it toward the - to slow it down.
