The DVB-S2 Series modulators are a hardware encoder and DVB-S2 Satellite Modulator combined into a simple compact enclosure. This unit is perfect for ENG trucks or for remote broadcasting. The unit workes equally well for permanant satellite uplink applications. High Definition video is first encoded with a high level H.264 codec. The encoded transport stream is then modulated onto a DVB-S2 Satellite carrier frequency for combination with other satellite signals. The RF is then passed to the dishes LNB with upconverts the frequency and transmitts the signal to the satellite for broadcasting. Many of these units can be used together for creating full satellite channel lineups. This combined RF can be passed to the LNB to uplink multiple channel lineups for satellite broadcast.
