This minimal design and compact structure includes Sony's new generation of 1/2.5-inch 4K Exmor image sensor with a built-in ultra-wide-angle 130-degree autofocus lens. Easy to operate, it includes USB3.0 and HDMI dual-interface simultaneous video output; the maximum resolution is 4K@30FPS, and 1080P video with 4X Digital zoom. The built-in high-fidelity microphone has a maximum pickup distance of up to 25 feet. Does the Camera HDMI port support embedded audio? Does the MAXIMUS4KFLY HDMI port support embedded audio We will use the USN3.0 port for power only and the HDMI port for video transmission?

Answer:

Video Record/Capture Info: The 4KFly does record audio along with the video as long as the settings are selected as Digital Audio Interface (USB Digital Audio) if you are using a HDMI to USB capture card. I tested this just now with the said device, utilizing OBS to capture the video through HDMI to USB and plugging the USB port from the 4KFly into a USB charger like an iPhone or Samsung charger. Video Live Playback: The 4KFly will send audio and video directly to a TV or other HDMI output device.

Does the 4K USB-E PTZ compact camera have a traditional mounting thread on the bottom, or is the monitor stand fixed to the case?

The little flip stand that comes with it is removable. Yes, it does have an inward-threaded hole for traditional mounting options like the tripod we show in the pictures. The tripod is not included. But it is a rather standard fitting that any DSLR camera or mount usually has. The tripod we purchased from Amazon works just fine; my assumption is that this is a standard thread size, so any mount you purchase would fit just fine.

The data rate is automated by the highest echelon FPS resolution the camera can go into. Yes, because not everyone has other hardware that can work with 4K. Oh, I see. So the camera automatically selects its frame rate and resolution based on the data rate it detects to the host computer? Exactly. OK. So let's assume the data rate is not throttled (the camera records at its highest quality). What would be the data rate? It's purposely made that way for customers in education, retail, Zoom, Skype, etc. Obviously, that would vary greatly between 4K and 480i. Understood. I'm trying to size data storage for days worth of engineering testing, hardwired to a host computer. It'll be at its peak data rate. I need to store 520 hours of video. How much space do I need? But it does have built-in H265 and H264, so I would assume it still wouldn't be as large as someone would expect, but I have no details or knowledge of the data rate because of the massive amount of flexibility in the product. That's something a client would have to do themselves; consider it this way, this is raw data. If you need a compression agent, then a hardware encoder or software encoder on a Mac/PC would do the trick. There's no way I could give you a ballpark figure on that. Easiest way to find out is to run and record a file as a baseline scenario for 15 seconds, 1 minute, 5 mins, 10 mins, and then break down the file sizes as they are saved. See what the difference is. Hm. I want to capture the raw output of this camera. You can't tell me what the output data rate at 4K @ 30fps might be? No, because it also has encoding in H265, H264, and MJPEG. So I have no idea what your environment will dictate. Which is the biggest? These are made to be simple products with vast options so they can be plug and play in anyone's scenario. What do you mean by the biggest? Those are different video encoding protocols. I'm just sizing hard drive requirements. I need to know the largest file size possible for 520 hours of data. I understand the exact file size will depend on conditions, but I'd be surprised if you couldn't tell me the maximum file size (or data rate) the camera is capable of.
