I have a quick technical question before we pursue this product. The setup we have is an IKUSI IPTV headend that distributes the terrestrial TV feeds over the corporate LAN to BrightSign players. The issue we're trying to resolve is that our terrestrial HD TV feeds on site contain the AC3 audio codec. The players we're using (about 200 of them) pass the AC3 audio codec through to the HDMI input of the display. The display (Samsung QMR series) doesn't seem to accept the AC3 codec, so we want to transcode the HD channels to MPEG2 audio before streaming them to the players. Will your transcoder be able to do this? And will it transcode the RF in and output the transcoded signal via the RF loop out? Or will we need to stream via IP to the unit, and then stream the transcoded signal out again to the wider IPTV LAN.

Yes, the transcoder can do that. However, please note that it can transcode up to 8 SD TS's or only 4 HD TS's. How many TS programs (videos) do you need to do in total? The other way would be decoding each ATSC program into HDMI and using an 8ch Full HD HDMI modulator. Therefore, you could use simple 8 ATSC to HDMI decoders with an 8-channel modulator. The modulator supports MPEG Audio.
