Set Top Box (STB) Tuner for QAM, ATSC, DVB-T, ISDB-T RF

Digital TV RF modulation is a great method for distributing High Definition Video signals in almost any application. You can combine hundreds of video programs onto a single coaxial cable that can be easily split, amplified, and distributed to a large number of displays. Most Televisions have built in QAM or ATSC digital TV tuners, so displaying video on a screen is as simple as tuning to the correct channel. However modern codecs such as H.264 are not supported by many early digital ready displays. Also, there are many legacy display systems without digital tuners. The solution is to use a Digital TV Set Top Box Tuner / Decoder.

These units function like any standard Digital TV tuner, and have every video and audio output format that you could need. Thor Set Top Boxes are tested to work with our modulators, and support decoding of both video codecs. These units can decode both MPEG-2 or H.264 without the need to change any settings. This allows programs output by a Thor Modulator using the more dense H.264 to be viewed on displays that do not support this format, as well as legacy non digital TV’s. You can also use this STB to display Digital TV on computer monitors and other display systems without tuners.

We have some Analog Television stations and our plan was to add a set top box for each one them. Do you have a recommended set top box that you for this usage.? Can one of these model work with your our HD HDMI modulator?

Answer:
The Modulator support many different modulations types, do you know What modulation will you use? CABLE TV DVB-C QAM -Annex A or B?(DVB-C QAM is used in most cases CABLE TV COAX distribution) or ATSC or DVB-T or ISDB-T? The STB is the modulation specific, so if you use QAM annex B, we will supply STB supporting QAM annex B, If DVB-T, we will supply DVB-T STB Is that clear?
