H- THUNDER- Supports up to 8 HDMI inputs and its modular design (maximum 8 HDMI inputs) and flexible configuration makes it scalable and very reliable while providing high performance.
The signal source could be from any STB, satellite receiver, closed-circuit television camera, antenna, etc. Its output signal is designed to work with any TV or STB. Because it comes standard with every RF modulation standard built in, this device can work anywhere in the world in a plug-and-play format.
This unit is similar to our popular line H-1,2,4 HDMI-QAM-IPLL product line, but it has some differences. It is a less expensive unit; each program is modulated on its own frequency, CATV RF output only, with no IPTV output
The 8-channel model has 8 HDMI / CVBS -baseband video inputs that can be selected from the menu, so support any HD HDMI source or any analog CVBS source like analog video cameras.
This input can also be used as input for Closed Captioning generated from video devices like DVD players or Cable STBs on CVBS output CC 21

H-Thunder-12 is part of the acclaimed Thunder series of modulators, designed for professional-grade video distribution in environments like hotels, sports bars, educational facilities, and broadcast setups. This rack-mountable unit features 12 HDMI inputs, supporting resolutions up to 1080p30 (with inputs handling 480i to 1080p60) and bit rates of 6-15 Mbps (default 9 Mbps) using MPEG-2 video encoding. Audio options include MPEG-1 Layer 2, AAC, or AC3, with sampling rates of 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz.
Unlike other Thunder models that may output individual frequencies per channel, the H-Thunder-12 optimizes bandwidth by generating only 4 RF output frequencies (50-950 MHz range, 1 kHz step, 100 dBµV level with 30 dB attenuation), multiplexing 3 transport streams (TS) per frequency for a total of 12 programs. It supports ATSC (8VSB constellation) and QAM J.83B (64QAM/256QAM) standards, with a typical MER of 35 dB for clean signal quality.
Front-panel controls include an LCD display, buttons for navigation, and status LEDs (dual-color for HDMI sources: green for connected, blue for no source; green for RF active; blue for LAN connected). Rear connections feature 12 HDMI inputs, RF output, a LAN port for NMS, and AC power (100-240V 50/60Hz).
Configuration is user-friendly via Ethernet-based NMS (default IP: 192.168.0.188, admin/admin), with a dashboard showing channel/program status, bitrates, and resolutions. Broadcast settings offer per-channel tweaks or a wizard for quick setup: select the standard (ATSC/QAM), frequency, and apply—the system auto-arranges channels and muxes programs. Additional features include password changes, IP modification, firmware upgrades via Ethernet, factory reset, and reboot.
Weighing 2800g and sized at 484x300x44mm, it's built for reliable 24/7 operation. This model stands out in the Thunder family for its efficient multiplexing, reducing RF channels while maintaining high-quality output, perfect for cost-effective multi-channel distribution over existing coax infrastructure.
