Description

High Density Encoder Modulator with up to 24 inputs for CVBS video via an RCA connector. Robust 1RU system for building a whole headend in as little rack space as possible. This flexible chassis allows for outputting all of your inputs onto RF and IP simultaneously. This high density unit also allows for PID remapping automatically or manually with up to 180 pids per channel. Utilizing only MPEG2 video with CBR and VBR means your CVBS input signals will benefit from noise reduction and de-interlacing to continously provide your content in a fluid manner. This unique encoder modulator also allows you to input up to 128 STPS streams for modulation onto RF; the multiplexing chassis will put these streams into your RF channel lineup for you which can also include a digital logo stamp on the streams. The Gigabit interface allows up to 4 MPTS streams output simultaneously. This full function device makes it ideal for small CATV head end system, and it’s a smart choice for hotel CATV Headends, entertainment systems in sports bars, hospitals, apartment complexes.

Hello, I need to know, is there any equipment that can digitize a complete frequency band (e.g 50 MHz to 850 MHz) of an analog cable TV channel to Digitize signal. Explanation: a coaxial wire carrying 150 analog TV channels, can it be digitized with single input equipment. Can you specify equipment and quote prices for a digital headend for about 150 channels along with if the internet is also provided through the same line?

Answer:
The only way to convert all of these channels from analog to digital is to re-encode them each individually. We do not have a product that will do all 100 channels at one time. We would need to use a 100 STB, and 100 CVBS inputs of encoder modulator. I have a facility that has 20+ channels old B-T analog mods for SD AV inputs. They're failing in pieces, and of course, modern LCD TV's don't look as good with standard modulators in many cases, so i'm just wanting to move the SD feeds to QAM to get rid of some of the ringing and noise problems.

Trying to see if I can get execs to plan one of these H24AV-QAM-IP.

Looking at rear, I assume there's a breakout cable supplied for each AV input?

And is RF out about +40db? Are RF outs individually adjustable for sloping, or do I need to slope externally?

Answer:

Yes you get breakout cables with the unit, keeping things a little
cleaner on the rear of the unit.
The unit outputs 4 adjacent physical channels, 6 TS encoded programs
are muxed on each carrier, it supports VCT, so the TV can display any
number
You can change the RF power output, but that is for all of the output channels.
The maximum RF output power is 35dbmv and 20db attenuation if needed.
If you need separate channels for each Video, then only
H-4ADHD-QAM-IPLL has this ability, but it supports 4 channels only.
