Question:

Firstly, to clarify the basic point, this unit is capable of outputting directly to four composite video streams?

What encoding format is used on the CVBS output? Ideally I am after support for both PAL and NTSC.

What level of configuration is available with the ethernet connection? Would it be possible to drive all four outputs from a single input IP stream, preferably into a single port on the unit?Beyond the two documents on your website, do you have any further documentation/datasheets for this product?

Could you provide a rough indication for the expected lifecycle of the product - particularly how long it will be in production for?

Answer:

Outputting to four composite video streams-

This unit holds four identical decoder cards. Each card has its own independent IP input and management. While all of them can output CVBS, HDMI, and SDI at the same time, they function independently. Therefore, each card needs to be connected to your network switch.

CVBS encoding format (PAL/NTSC)-

The CVBS output can be manually set to either PAL or NTSC.

Ethernet configuration and single IP stream input

You can use a single UDP multicast stream or difrent streming protocal as a source.

However, since each card is independent, each individual card must be configured to receive that stream and each must be connected to the Ethernet switch.
