Connect. Discover. Watch.
The ThoriumIP-TV application transforms compatible Android TVs and Google TV devices into professional IPTV receivers without requiring additional IPTV set-top boxes.
Designed as part of the ThoriumIP Plug-and-Play IPTV ecosystem by THOR Broadcast, the application makes television distribution over an Ethernet network easier, faster, and more economical.
Simply install the ThoriumIP-TV application on a compatible television, connect it to the same local network as your ThoriumIP encoders, and open the application.
The software automatically discovers available ThoriumIP IPTV channels and displays their assigned names in an easy-to-use channel list.
No external set-top box. No manual multicast addresses. No individual IPTV playlist configuration.
1. Install the Application
Install the free ThoriumIP-TV application on a compatible Android TV or Google TV device.
2. Connect Your TV to the Network
Connect your television to the local Ethernet network used by your ThoriumIP IPTV encoders.
3. Automatic Channel Discovery
Launch the application. It automatically discovers IPTV channels available from compatible ThoriumIP encoders.
4. View Your Channel List
Available channels appear with the names assigned through the encoder's management interface.
For example:
Channel 1 – CNN
Channel 2 – ESPN
Channel 3 – FOX News
Channel 4 – Hotel Information
5. Select and Watch
Choose your preferred channel using the television's remote control and start watching.
It's that simple.
One of the biggest advantages of ThoriumIP-TV is eliminating the need for a separate IPTV receiver when using a compatible Android television.
Traditional IPTV installations often require an external set-top box for every television, including separate power supplies, HDMI cables, Ethernet connections, and physical mounting.
With ThoriumIP-TV, compatible televisions can receive IPTV directly through the application.
This helps reduce equipment costs, installation labor, wiring, and maintenance.
For hotels, hospitals, schools, and facilities with many televisions, these savings can be substantial.
ThoriumIP-TV is designed to work with the ThoriumIP family of professional HDMI IPTV encoders.
Compatible encoders advertise their available IPTV channels on the local network, allowing the application to discover them automatically.
Instead of manually entering IP addresses and streaming URLs at each television, users can select channels from an automatically populated list.
Channel names assigned at the encoder are displayed in the application, making television operation familiar and easy.
ThoriumIP-12 – 12-Channel Full HD HDMI IPTV Encoder
Receive available Full HD IPTV channels created from up to twelve HDMI sources.
ThoriumIP-4K – 4K UHD HDMI IPTV Encoder & RF Modulator
Discover compatible IPTV channels generated by the ThoriumIP-4K encoder. Video playback resolution depends on the television and application capabilities.
ThoriumIP-TV is part of the ThoriumIP ecosystem, which also offers an optional centralized management controller for compatible devices.
The controller is not required for standard automatic channel discovery and playback.
