1310nm – 16mW fiber optic transmitter designed for transporting Television RF signals over fiber within the 45–1000 MHz range. Supports all RF formats including Analog RF (NTSC / PAL), Digital QAM (J.83B), ATSC antenna signals, ATSC 8VSB, ATSC 3.0, and QPSK within band.
The unit converts incoming RF into optical RF, allowing all channels to be carried over a single fiber. Suitable for both point-to-point links and point-to-multipoint distribution using optical splitters.
With increased optical power, this model is ideal for 1x8, 1x16, or 1x32 splitter configurations, making it perfect for hotels, multi-dwelling units, antenna distribution systems, and campus RF networks.
Outputs industry-standard RFoG signals compatible with most third-party receivers. Features a highly linear DFB laser with Automatic Gain Control (AGC) for stable, low-distortion performance. Front panel LCD enables easy monitoring and configuration. Optional redundant power supply available.
Transmitter can be used with any or Thor Fiber optical RF receivers
- 16 mW Optical Power Output from sensor-feedback-controlled laser system
- Transports entire 45-870 MHz band even with full channel lineups
- Creates high-security "Fiber Breaks" to eliminate coax signal return path
- Automatic Gain Control (AGC) manages RF level with no adjustment needed
- Compatible with all Thor RFoG CATV series optical receiver systems
IMPORTANT NOTE*** (It is very important to interface our unit with an SC/APC - Angle Polished Connector to avoid any light reflections.)
If your fiber is terminated with the SC, ST, FC/PC flat connector, you need to use an optical jumper from PC type to SC/APC for proper conversion.
The following CATV RF fiber optic transmitters are available. You can view all models here: CATV RF over Fiber Transmitters
The Thor F-PLC passive fiber optic splitter with SC/APC connectors is an ideal accessory for CATV RF optical transmitters, allowing one optical signal to be split and routed to multiple locations over fiber. Available in 1x2 to 1x64 versions, it is perfect for RF over fiber distribution systems in hotels, campuses, apartment buildings, and other multi-location installations.

Wireless Microphone RF Audio Signal Over Fiber Optic Extender (Antenna Link)
Thor Sound RoF is a Fiber Optic Remote Antenna Distribution System (Radio over Fiber). It converts RF signals from wireless microphones into optical signals and sends them over single-mode fiber optic cable for distances over 10 km, then converts them back to RF at the receiver. This lets you place antennas far from the receiver while keeping high-quality audio. Includes a compact transmitter and receiver pair with BNC RF connectors and FC/APC optical connectors.
