Description

HD/SD-SDI 720p/1080i/1080p Encoder + Satellite DVB-S/S2 Modulator

It is an integrated HD encoder with DVB-S/S2 modulator - HD up to 1080p HD/SD-SDI input, H.264 / MPEG2 encoding.

It also has ASI input, for passing external TS from a different encoder or muxing external TS with the TS our unit encodes.

DVB-S2 MODULATOR

It is an integrated HD encoder with DVB-S/S2 modulator - HD up to 1080p HD/SD-SDI input, H.264 / MPEG2 encoding.

It also has ASI input, for passing external TS from a different encoder or muxing external TS with the TS our unit encodes.

Thor DVB-S/S2 Encoder & Modulator is an integrated HD Video Encoder with the satellite S2 modulator. Hot-swappable modules with different video inputs (CVBS/SDI/HDMI/YPbPr...) are available.

It also has 1 channel ASI input for external TS (MPEG2 or H.264) multiplexing. It outputs ASI and DVB-S/S2 RF (IF Optional) simultaneously.

The signal source could be an SDI camera, HDMI Blu-ray players, etc. It has a web-based NMS GUI interface for easy online management.

Featuring high performance and low cost, the S2 is especially used by TV stations or DSNG systems to encode SD/HD programs and output for uplink.

1) We are looking for full HDSD dvbs2 mpeg4 encoder+ modulator but with L-band output and 10mhz internal reference for a single channel. It must be able to handle 4:2:2 signal. 2) Can the encoder take in HD video embedded in 4 2.2 and output the same to modulator?

Answer:
1) If that encoder needs to support 4:2:2, then we can do it via an external encoder. This is the only way we can do it: 2 separate units, one as an encoder and the second as a modulator.
