Description

Convert your local AV and HDMI signal into an RF signal ready for distribution over coaxial cables to any number of TVs on your network in MPEG2 encoding that will work on any North American television set.

Question:
I want to know whether this device can convert a PC HDMI signal (taken from the HDMI port of the graphics card) to an RF signal. I want to know because other products do not have that compatibility and require a DVI-to-3D modulator to do that conversion. My idea is to take the HDMI signal from the graphics card and convert it to an analog air signal to be used in sixteen televisions (these have coaxial cable routed through the church and receive the signal on analog channel 3), but I want more image quality (in this HD era, 480 resolution is not good). Thanks for all the support and good products.

Thank you for your inquiry.

This product takes the HDMI signal from your computer's graphics card and outputs digital RF signals like ATSC or QAM, not analog RF. You can scan your TVs, and it will find digital channels up to 1080p/60.

The only thing you need to check is whether your TVs support digital signals because it will not work with analog TVs. If you have an analog TV, we do have a solution, but it will never be in HD, just old analog RF.

To do that, we have Digital QAM/ATSC STBs with Analog RF NTSC Output Channel 3 or 4 that you can use as an analog RF source.

Can this be used to broadcast on an unused channel using the same coax cable that currently has service from a cable provider?

Thank you for your inquiry about our Digital RF Modulator. Yes, the unit can be used to broadcast on an unused channel using the same coax cable that currently has service from a cable provider. To do this, you will need to generate a channel that is not in use with similar RF power as your cable. You can then use a 2 to 1 combiner to merge the two signals together. When the TV rescans your RF input, it will discover all your cable channels and the additional generated channel by the Petit modulator.
