Thor Broadcast IP Encoder with 4 or 8 HDMI inputs, with MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 video encoding and LC-AAC or HE-AAC audio encoding. The signal source could be from any STB, PC, TV, or any HDMI device. It can transfer the live-streaming programs through the internet via LAN and will output IP over UDP (Unicast/Multicast), RTSP, RTMP, HTTP, and HLS. The output signals can be received by an IP device like a PC, phone, tablet, STB, or any other mobile terminal. Simple setup and design mean these inexpensive units will give you video IP transport solutions without breaking the bank.
Models are available with 4 or 8 HDMI inputs for high-density applications.
You can use it as a live video or cast streaming device and have the versatility to connect with a large audience. This unit supports multiple HD and SD resolutions; if your video source is analog NTSC video, it is easy to convert it to HDMI using a small external converter.

We only have a few options for HLS encoding; this model is the best option. We only have the 8 channels in stock right now. https://thorbroadcast.com/product/4-or-8-hdmi-inputs-h264-network-encoder-udp-unicast-multicast-rtsp-8230.html 2) The other option I thought we could propose is using an RF to IP gateway instead of STBs. This is a one RF rackmount unit that can ingest up to 16 RF ISDB-T and all subchannels, directly converted to IP streams in UDP or RTP. https://thorbroadcast.com/product/16-rf-tuners-to-iptv-ts-qam-output.html/116 We do not have the ISDB-T option on the website, but we can do it, no problem. Then, when we have the IP streams, we can use this device for IP to HLS conversion: https://thorbroadcast.com/product/iptv-udp-to-hls-gateway.html Essentially, this would remove all of the set-top boxes, power supplies, and HDMI cables from the setup. Otherwise, you can use STBs and the 2x 8HDMI-IPCast Encoders to do HLS.
HLS syntax for the IPCAST unit is http://192.168.1.137:8090/stream1.m4u8. The 192.168.1.137 is the default device IP address.
