Question and Answers

Answer:
Because if you did not purchase them yet, we might have better solution.

If you already purchased those units then the 2x 8HDMI-IPCas t will be a better fit for you.

We only have a few options for HLS encoding; this model is the best option; we only have the 8 Channels in stock right now.
2)
The other option I thought we could propose is using and RF to IP gateway instead of STB's.
This is a one RF rackmount unit that can ingest up to 16 RF ISDBT and all sub channels, directly converted to IP streams in UDP or RTP.
We do not have the ISDBT option on the website, but we can do it no problem.

Then when we have the IP streams, we can use this device for IP to HLS conversion:

Essentially this would remove all of the set-top boxes, and power supplies, and HDMI cables from the setup.
Otherwise, you can use STB's and the 2x 8HDMI-IPCast Encoders to do HLS.
